Our decorative vent covers and ventilation grilles are unique in a market saturated with unattractive alternatives. No longer do you or your air vents need to suffer the embarrassment of cheap plastic, boring looking, mass-produced vent covers. All our metal air vents are made in 100% solid metals.
Shaped Vent Covers
If you would like a price for a vent cover that is not rectangular or square just enter sizes for a panel that would cover the maximum size of your vent cover. Circular grilles are straight forward, just enter the diameter in both dimensions. For oval and other shapes we would need a template. Please note that we cannot accurately quote for frames for odd shapes until we have a template.
Custom made air ventilation covers
You can either choose from our range of standard sizes and shapes or if you see something you like here but would like a different version, shape, size or finish then send us your requirements and we will create an air vent cover to meet the exact needs of the air vents you need to cover.
As well as supplying square, rectangular and circular air vent covers in standard and non-standard sizes and in a wide variety of finishes, we can also supply the straight sided vent covers with pre-fitted flat, angle or T-section frames.
Fitting air ventilation covers
Air vent covers and ventilation grilles can be permanently glued in place or fitted in a removable fashion with screws. If a framed look is desired then all our air vent covers can be supplied with flat frames that match the finish of the grille itself. The T-section frames can be fitted with spring clips so that no face fixings are required or seen.
Ventilation grilles can be supplied and fitted for both supply and return air conditioning ducts. Our ventilation grilles are suitable for both internal and external use. . if you are not sure about which material to choose for ventilation grilles that will be used in areas of higher humidity such as externally or in a bathroom, sauna or wet room area then please contact us for advice. Alternative styles of ventilation grilles can be made using our standard grille designs, which you can find on our decorative grilles page.
Popular air vent cover sizes
Above are displayed a selection of popular sizes and shapes which suit most standard requirements. Above that is a selection of other patterns also available both in the standards sizes and in any bespoke format. Just let us know what size you would like your decorative vent cover to be and which pattern you like and we will make it/them for you.
All our air vent covers can be supplied with diffuser screens. These can serve the effect of diffusing the airflow, providing an attractive addition to the fascia grille and also an insect proof layer.
All our decorative vent covers are suitable for use in conjunction with air conditioning systems. If directed airflow is required then directional louvres can be fitted to the rear of the metal covers.
Wall, Floor and ceiling air vents
Our air vent covers are suitable for fitting in walls, floors, ceilings and provided the correct materials and finishes are chosen (ask for advice), they are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor use. If you would like to locate them somewhere where you think they might get walked on then it might be better if you look at our Floor Grille range. Our metal air vent covers are not just used for airflow purposes, they are also used for speaker cover grilles, for communication purposes, privacy screens and purely as decorative ornamental features.
Our standard range of decorative vent covers are provided in standard thicknesses for wall and ceiling applications and thicker gauges for floors. If you have a specific thickness or open area requirement for your grille or grilles, please let us know and we will create a grille to suit your requirements.
Air Brick Covers
All our vent covers are suitable for use as air brick covers. If you require air brick covers for covering external air bricks then we recommend you choose one of the stainless steel finishes. Satin stainless steel provides the better surface for painting if you are planning on painting your air brick cover.
When choosing the specification of your air brick cover you will need to consider the fixing method. If you prefer your grille to be removeable then chose to have fixing holes so it can be screwed in place. This would also provide the strongest fixing. Alternatively you can fix your air brick covers with a waterproof adhesive that sticks to both metal and brick. If the surface you are planning to stick your vent cover to is uneven then it would be best to use a thicker adhesive with filling qualities. Your air brick covers may be purely for aesthetic purposes but if they are also designed to prevent the ingress of household pests such as mice and insects then the best option is to include a backing mesh which we will pre-fit to the back of your air brick cover. Whilst even the coarse mesh is fine enough to hinder the ingress of mice and even baby mice. The fine mesh is the best choice for keeping small insects out.
Whilst we have tried to include most standard sizes of air brick within our standard air vent cover sizes, it can depend on the quality of the surrounding masonry as to how much more of the area around the air brick you might want to cover for the greatest visual improvement. Sometimes it can be better to specify a size a little larger than the air brick itself to make sure that not only all of the air brick itself is covered but also the area around it to achieve the neatest result. If you would like a different pattern for your air brick cover, to match a motif elsewhere on a building or something personal to you or your project, or if you would like to adapt one of our standard designs by increasing the size of the border for expanding or reducing the scale of the pattern for example. Please get in touch with our design department directly and they will create bespoke air brick covers unique to you.
Despite the fact that air bricks are in themselves vents, air brick covers can sometimes be referred to as air brick vents or air brick vent covers. Air brick vents can either refer to the brick itself or the air brick vent cover which is applied to its visible face to improve its appearance and act a s a barrier to anything other than air that may wish to pass through it. A more appropriate term for the cover which is fitted over an air brick is an air brick cover. There are many air brick covers on the market but most of them are purely functional with scant regard for their appearance having been applied during their design. Our air brick covers, however, can be looked upon as both practical and attractive improvements to properties that as part of a schedule of other upgrades can improve not only the value of a property but the experience of living or working within it.
Wall Vents & Wall Vent Covers
Wall vents need to be covered with a suitable cover to improve their appearance and prevent things from either entering or exiting them. Wall vents are usually covered with a type of grille that allows air to pass through but nothing else. Where the wall vent is at the interface between a heating or air conditioning system it can be important to know the required air flow of the system so that the right wall vent covers with the correct percentage of free open area can be specified.
Wall vent covers do not differ from ceiling vent covers unless a controlled directional air-flow is required. There is a wider choice of fixing options for wall vent covers than for ceiling vent covers as the latter must be screwed in place with mechanical fixings for safety reasons. Wall vent covers differ however from floor vent covers as the floor version must be much more robust to endure the weights put upon it. All our standard decorative grilles and air vent cover designs are suitable for use as wall vent covers to cover both internal and external wall vents provided the right materials are chosen.
